Often times, films are not accurate representations of the real deal and the film adaptation of the Brothers Grimm is a perfect example of such. First off, the movie makes the brothers seem as if they were con artists and scammed people out of their money. However, this is completely false. The Brothers were very religious and didn't believe in magic but they did want to collect stories for the people. Children also did not go mysteriously missing and the French also didn't rely on them to find the kids. Of course, magic did not exist which is half the plot. The brothers did have one sister, at least the movie showed that. Barely.
